FAQ

To change the time on a Paulin watch pull the crown out all the way, then turn it clockwise till the hands are in the desired position then, you can push the crown back in and the seconds hand should resume ticking.

To change the date on your watch, pull the crown out halfway and turn clockwise or anti-clockwise depending on your watch model. The date window goes up to 31 days, so every second month you will have to adjust accordingly.

Your strap is secured with a spring-bar. To change the strap you can either visit any reputable watch-shop or jeweller, and it is normally something they can do whilst you wait. Alternatively you can swap a strap at home just as easily, using a small forked watch tool or a small flat head screwdriver (using the drilled lug holes).

Our most recent watch, the Neo, is our first to be produced in batches. This is predominantly due to the fact that the aluminium dials are made by hand by an artisan in the UK. The dials are milled from a single piece of aluminium and then anodised and dyed to exacting specifications. Due to this difficult process we can only produce a small number of dials at a time. Once the dials are made and have passed our quality control, the team at anOrdain pad prints the dials by hand. Pad printing requires one to three firings in the kiln depending on the number of ink colours on the dial.

The Neo dials are made with aluminium that has been anodised and dyed by hand. Even in the most controlled environment, this technique can yield slightly unpredictable results. While we endeavour to make each dial as close to our photography as possible, our dials can vary from batch to batch. We believe this variation adds to the charm of the Neo, because each one is completely unique. Please bear in mind that the dials are metallic and the light and angle can drastically change the dial colour in photographs.

All orders are sent using UPS or Royal Mail using a tracked and signed service. You will receive confirmation of dispatch and the courier will update you with a tracking number. Delivery times will vary depending on shipping location. A signature will be required upon delivery.

Your Paulin watch is water resistant up to 5ATM which means it is resistant to everyday use and light rain. We do not advise that you wear the watch when showering, bathing, swimming, diving or during any activity where it is exposed directly to water. Additionally, our leather watch straps should avoid any contact with water as this can damage the leather.

As leather is porous, longevity can vary from person to person. The leather will absorb oils and will develop a natural patina which gives the strap its character. The lifespan of your strap can be extended by avoiding coming into contact with water, moisture, oils, perfumes or cosmetics as this will significantly deteriorate the lifespan of the item. Avoid over-exposure to extreme heat or direct sunlight.

Our leather straps are made using full grain bridle, Italian, suede, cordovan or stingray leather. Some scratches and marks will be visible on the leather as a result of the leather being a natural substance. This is normal and not to be seen as a defect. Over time your strap will develop a natural patina but it will from time to time need to be cleaned.

First of all, with a dry cloth wipe off any dirt or debris from your strap. Then with a very small amount of mild soap and water, gently rub your strap in small circular buffing motions. You do not want the strap to become damp as this can do more harm than good to the leather, so use only a small amount of water. Make sure you have removed all the soap residue from your strap, then leave it to air-dry, avoiding direct sunlight. Then you can use a leather balm to recondition your leather once it has been cleaned.
