Paulin launches the Commuter Automatic
The Commuter Automatic is our first mechanical watch, with the proportions and style based on the best-selling Commuter, and the dial featuring our bespoke Geo numerals.
The Commuter Automatic is designed to be hard-wearing; using only the highest-quality materials alongside incredible craftsmanship. The 3-piece case is made of 316L grade stainless steel, PVD coated and finely brushed to give a satin finish (more resilient to scuffs than polished steel) and displays a high level of detail in the vertically brushed sides. The glass in both the front and exhibition back is sapphire coated, making it tough and highly scratch-resistant. At the heart of the watch is the Japanese Miyota 9015 movement, a highly accurate and reliable automatic movement.
The face has a two-layered dial with radial grooves, skeleton hands, and a sweeping yellow second hand, giving an aesthetic that fuses classic and modern features of watch design.
Case dimensions are 37mm by 10.5mm deep with a lug to lug length of 45mm. The watch comes with a bridle leather strap from Clayton's tannery, England.
The watch has an exhibition back which shows the movement in action.
At £395 the Commuter Automatic represents incredibly good value for money and is available through Paulin's physical shop in Glasgow or from its website.
