Bespoke handsets are uncommon in the watch industry because production is expensive and time-consuming. However, we believe the design should be coherent in every element of the watch, and hands are no exception.
To form a cohesive design, we draw on shapes and details from other parts of the watch, such as the numerals, dial or case. Skeleton hands are a favourite, as they so effectively link the hands and the dial together.
Our hands are manufactured in India by KDDL, the largest supplier to the Swiss watch industry. The material of the hands varies based on usage, with the most common methods being painted or chemically plated brass, or thermally blued steel. Our hands are all stamped brass, either painted with lacquer or chemically plated. For the Mara and Moduls D and E, luminescent paint is then applied by hand.
